The stats just came out and EastVanTownhouses wants to keep you updated which is why we have compiled the stats from September to give you our monthly townhouse update. What you will see is that overall prices of East Vancouver townhouses have increased to $905,209. This is the highest price to date that we have seen in this market and marks a 37.7% increase from the average prices in September last year.
The Sales to Active ratio remains in a sellers market at 36%. Anything over 20% is considered to be favourable towards sellers.
As townhomes remain very popular for young families and the detached housing market remains out of reach of many families, we expect to see continued pressure on the lower priced townhomes. They provide the gap in the housing market between condos and single family homes. As families downsize from their single family homes, the higher end townhomes will also be in high demand.
