As we are nearing the halfway point of 2016 I wanted to take a look at the top 5 most expensive East Vancouver townhomes up to this point. Up until now there have been 135 Townhomes that have sold in East Vancouver. The least expensive sale was a 2 bedroom townhouse on E 10th that sold for $252,000. Here are 2016’s most expensive East Vancouver townhome sales in the first 6 months:
#5) 4 bedroom townhouse on E 14th – $1,250,000
This 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom townhouse on E 14th came in at number 5 on the top 5 most expensive East Vancouver townhomes list. It forms 1/3 or the Triplex on 14th which was built in 2013. This development didn’t miss a beat with its custom millwork, crown moldings, radiant heated floors and wainscotting. Listed at $1,088,000 this sold in 8 days for $1,250,000.
#4) 3 bedroom townhouse at the Maison – $1,250,000
This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom townhouse at the Maison on 10th and Quebec came in at number 4 on the list. Built in 2006 by Formworks this development is in one of the most walkable areas of Vancouver, Mount Pleasant. Located just off Main Street and one block off Broadway, Maison is nestled into a quiet little community but just steps to the amenities of the area. Listed at $1,069,000 this home sold for $1,250,000.
#3) 4 bedroom townhouse on W 16th and Glenn Dr – $1,300,000
With just under 1600 sqft this 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom Townhouse on W 16th and Glenn Dr. came as the 3rd most expensive East Vancouver Townhome so far in 2016. This home was built in 1999 and lasted just 10 days on the market before selling over it’s asking price of $1,248,000 and selling for $1,300,000. Attached garage and radiant floor heating combined with the central location and large square footage helped this demand a higher price.
#2) Townhouse in the Hastings area – $1,425,000
Built in 2015, Adanac 2 boasts over 1,700 sqft including a beautiful rooftop patio overlooking the city. Just steps from Commercial Drive this development checks all the boxes. This particular home had upgraded appliances, hardwood flooring throughout, and custom imported tiles. Listed at $1,199,900 but sold for a massive $1,425,000. This is a big number for the Hastings area.

The old adage of location, location, location didn’t miss a beat here. The number 1 most expensive East Vancouver Townhouse in the first half of 2016 belongs to this townhouse located on Quebec Street just across from the Seawall. Built in 1992, this 2,200 sqft, 3 bedroom home is the essence of central. Less than a 2 minute walk to the sky train and directly across from Telus World of Science this home is in arguably the most central area in Vancouver. Listed at $1,299,000 this home sold for $1,450,000 and is therefore deserving of the title “Most Expensive East Vancouver Townhouse”.
